Rugby World Cup 2021 is coming to New Zealand! This is a fantastic opportunity to super-charge women’s rugby. With the tournament kicking off on 18 September 2021 in Auckland and Whangarei, your energy is needed to deliver a world class event that will leave a sustainable legacy for future generations. We are seeking an outstanding Festival & Events Manager to join our passionate, hardworking team to deliver this incredible event!
Our Festival & Events Manager is responsible for driving and delivery the RWC2021 event activities. With support from the Senior Marketing Manager and Event Lead this is a hands on role which sees both the planning and operational delivery of events including 10 match days.
RWC 2021 is the first time that large scale attendance for women’s rugby matches is expected in New Zealand. This role is critical to ensuring a lasting impression is left with all attendees.
To be successful in this role you will…
- Have significant experience (5+ years) in the events industry
- Bring project planning and management experience
- Have experience and passion working with Pasifika and Maori culture
- Have experience working with entertainers and their technical requirements
- Be calm under pressure and have a can-do attitude
