We are seeking an outstanding individual to support with New Zealand Rugby’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme. 

This person will oversee and lead the strategy, development and delivery of the programme’s engagement with community rugby clubs and high schools, in particular the coordination and delivery of education workshops and ongoing support.

This role will be essential in helping to create sustainable environments in the rugby community that are receptive to conversations around mental health, while using rugby’s influence to support the national conversation and promote positive action. 

While the main focus for this role will be overseeing the project’s key outcomes, the role will also be responsible for the development of learning resources, and exceptional communication and stakeholder management is a must.  

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Relevant project coordination or management experience.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in the mental health or wellbeing sector.
  • Top notch communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Confident facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Experience in the creation and delivery of mental health and wellbeing education.
