As Head of Provincial Union Rugby you will lead and manage NZR’s working relationships with our 26 Provincial Unions. This is a critical role which   involves being the key contact to ensure the needs of our Provincial Union’s are understood and addressed. 

You will develop and foster meaningful relationships with key Provincial Union Stakeholders to provide advice and input on areas such as business planning, financial and funding aspects, and escalated rugby issues. 

Working with the GM of Community Rugby, you will also ensure the strategic needs from Provincial Union level are addressed and implemented in line with NZR’s goals. 

The success of this role will be met with your extensive relationship management and leadership experience. It is essential that you have the skills and ability to influence and direct stakeholders - both internal and external - at a senior leadership level. 

Along with your project leadership skills and analytical thinking you will also bring strong financial and management advisory capability.

Ideally you will have experience working in rugby at a Provincial Union level or a similar sporting environment. 

This role will be based at either our Wellington or Auckland offices.
