New Zealand Rugby Union seeks applicants to be available to help prepare the 2023 NZU20 Team to attend the U20 World Cup in South Africa in June and start of July. An International Series with Australia in May will also be part of the preparation for the Tournament.
The Head Coach will lead the Campaign and work closely with management to achieve the objectives set for the Team. This role requires a close working relationship with NZR to ensure that the best players are selected and a world class development programme is delivered within the campaign. With a streamlined coaching team, there will be an expectation that the Head Coach will deliver aspects of onfield coaching and help develop other Management members.
For this role, beyond discipline-specific expertise and experience, candidates should have a good knowledge and understanding of the game as well as outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong empathy for the values which underpin New Zealand Rugby will need to be demonstrated, as will high levels of integrity, passion, and competitive drive. Please note that this role is a part time position and remuneration will be based around assembly with the team.
